Twelve years on the Central Pacific coast, and a phone that a real person answers.
Costa Rica rewards people who know it and quietly overcharges people who do not. The same catamaran trip is a good day or a crowded one depending on which boat you are on. The park is worth a guide and closed on Tuesdays. A villa listed as ocean view can mean a glimpse through trees, and the road to it may need a 4x4 in October and not in March. None of that is on a booking site.
We are a small operation based in Quepos, working the coast between Jacó and Golfo Dulce, with more than a decade of tourism experience here. We are not an online travel agency and we do not run a booking engine that lists everything. We recommend a short list of places and operators we have used, and we say so when something is not worth the money.
We plan and book trips: villas, charters, tours, transport, and the sequence you do them in. That last part matters more than people expect. Rafting the day you land is a mistake. The park is closed Tuesdays. Whale season runs July to October and again December to March, so the same week is either the highlight of the trip or not an option. Getting the order right is most of what a consultant is for.
Usually nothing. For stays and tours with operators we work with, we are paid a commission by the operator, which means our help costs you the same as booking direct and often less, because we know the rates. For complex multi-stop trips or detailed itinerary planning we may charge a planning fee, and you will hear the number before any work starts. No surprises on an invoice.
We would rather be direct about the money than coy: we are paid when you book and when you come back. That is worth knowing because it tells you our incentive. We do not earn more by pushing you somewhere expensive, we earn by getting it right so you use us again and tell someone.
You tell us your dates, who is coming, and what kind of trip you want. We ask a few questions that sound nosy and are not: whether anyone gets seasick, whether the group actually wants a 5am start, what you disliked about the last trip, whether someone is celebrating something. Then we put a plan together, book it, and stay reachable while you are here.
You deal with us directly by WhatsApp, phone, or email. No call center, no ticket number, no chatbot.
Book your airfare with points and let us handle the stay and the activities. That split usually gets more out of the points than spending them on a hotel rate, and it keeps the on-the-ground part with someone who can fix a problem the same day.
A real, named team, not a rotating queue. Our concierge staff live and work here year round, and they are the people who meet you at the gate, drive you up the hill, and sort it out when a boat cancels.
Send dates and a rough idea and we will come back with a plan, honest pricing, and what we would do differently. If you are still deciding, the trip-planner quiz is a faster start.
