1. About us

Costa Rica Travel Consultants provides travel information, vacation planning, concierge services, and recommendations for tours, accommodations, and activities in Costa Rica. Some services are provided directly by us, others are arranged through trusted third-party providers.

2. Use of this website

• Content on this site is provided for informational and trip-planning purposes only.
• You agree to use the site for lawful purposes and not to disrupt, damage, or misuse its functionality.
• We may update or change website content at any time without notice.

3. Travel services and bookings

• Some tours, accommodations, and services featured on this site are provided by independent third parties.
• When you book with a third-party provider, that provider's own terms and conditions apply.
• We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes made by third-party providers.

Prices, schedules, and what is included

Every price, departure time, duration, inclusion, and restriction shown for a tour, charter, or activity comes from the operator who runs it. We confirm those details directly with the operator and we re-check them, but they change, sometimes without notice to us. Costa Rica is a large part of why: river levels swing between the green and dry seasons, estuary and mangrove trips run to the tides rather than the clock, boats come out of the water for maintenance, national parks close on set days or adjust entry rules, and whale and turtle seasons shift year to year.

So treat what you see here as accurate to the last time we checked it, not as a quoted contract. The operator's own confirmation is the final word on price, timing, pickup location, group minimums, age and weight limits, and what is and is not included. Where we act as a reseller, your booking contract is with the operator, and their cancellation and refund policy governs it, not ours.

None of that is a reason to book blind. If a detail actually matters to your trip, a dietary requirement, a mobility question, travelling with young children, a tight flight, or a date you cannot move, ask us before you book and we will confirm it with the operator directly. That is the part of this we do best, and it costs you nothing.

4. Vacation rental terms

The following terms apply to vacation rental bookings unless a specific property's listing states otherwise:

• Pricing is based on a rental of seven nights. Contact us for pricing and availability for shorter or longer stays.
• Fifty percent of the rental amount is required to hold a reservation, with the remaining fifty percent due at least sixty days before arrival.
• A 500 US dollar refundable cash damage deposit, less any damage, is due with the final payment or provided at check-in.
• Costa Rica's 13 percent tax is not included in the quoted rate.

Cancellations

• All rental payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other properties.
• This policy is applied consistently and we are not able to make exceptions, including in difficult personal circumstances.
• By booking, the renter accepts the risk of Force Majeure, including pandemics, as their own risk.

5. Payments and cancellations for tours and services

Payments made through us for tours, transport, or concierge services are subject to confirmation and availability. Refunds and cancellations follow the policy of the individual service provider, review those terms before booking.

6. Affiliate links and commissions

Some links on this website are affiliate or referral links. We may earn a commission if you make a purchase or booking through those links. Using an affiliate link does not change the price you pay.

7. Limitation of liability

Travel involves inherent risk. By using this website or booking through our recommendations, you accept that Costa Rica Travel Consultants is not liable for personal injury, accidents, loss, or damages arising from your travel plans. Participation in any tour or activity is at your own discretion and responsibility.

8. Intellectual property

All text, images, graphics, and branding on this website belong to Costa Rica Travel Consultants unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute this content without our prior permission.

9. Privacy

We respect your privacy. Personal data collected through this site is handled according to our privacy policy. By using this website, you agree to the data practices described there.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date.
