San Jose airport to Manuel Antonio is about three hours. Liberia to Tamarindo is about one. Neither is a drive you want to start by haggling at an arrivals curb with twelve people and a sleeping toddler. We book a private driver we know, tell them your flight, and they meet you inside the terminal. If the flight is late, they wait.
We arrange transfers for the houses we place guests in and for anyone else who asks. Private vehicles only, priced per vehicle rather than per person, so a family of six pays for one van, not six seats.
Car seats. Costa Rica requires them for children under twelve who are shorter than 145 centimeters. Tell us the ages and the right seats are in the vehicle when it pulls up.
Big groups. Twelve people plus luggage is one large van or two SUVs. We match the vehicle to the count and the bags, and we will say plainly when a fifteen-seat van is the wrong call for a mountain road.
Hillside houses. Some of the best villas need four-wheel drive to reach, no exceptions. If you are staying in one of ours, we already know, and the driver arrives in something that can make the driveway.
Tours. You will not need us for those. Every tour we book collects you at the villa. Transfers are for arriving, leaving, and moving between zones.
