The ride starts before you ever clip in. A specially designed tractor hauls you 15 minutes off-road to the top of the mountain, and from there the only way down is by cable: 15 platforms and 14 ziplines strung through an 80-acre property, half of it primary forest. The longest cable runs 2,400 feet, long enough to stop watching your feet and take in Herradura Bay, its island, and the Gulf of Nicoya spread out below.
The course was designed as an adventure with minimal impact on the forest it crosses, so you descend over the canopy rather than through cleared hillside. It rates easy to moderate, and no prior zipline experience is needed.
Four departures a day (8:00 am, 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm) make this simple to fit around a beach morning or an afternoon flight into the marina area. Pickup is from your hotel or a meeting point in Jacó, and the whole outing takes about three hours.
Bring light comfortable clothing, walking shoes, long pants, sunscreen, a camera, and binoculars. Departures 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.
Before you book, one honest note. Prices, departure times, and what is included move with the season here. Rivers rise and drop, tides reset the schedule, boats come out of the water for maintenance, and operators adjust rates without telling anyone first. The details on this page are what we last confirmed directly with the operator, and we go back and check them, but your booking is with the operator and their confirmation is the final word on price, timing, pickup, and what you get. If a detail matters to your trip, whether that is a dietary need, a mobility question, a birthday, or a tight flight, ask us before you book and we will confirm it with them directly rather than guess.
Traveling with kids, limited mobility, or a tight schedule? Tell us your situation and we will match you to the right day and departure.
