This ride starts in Londres, a small farming town in the hills behind Manuel Antonio, where the stables are set up to get first-timers comfortable before anyone mounts up. You get riding instructions, safety tips, and practice time, then head out on mountain trails through the rainforest with bilingual guides, wildlife around you, and the valley opening up below.
After about 90 minutes of riding you reach a waterfall, and the next 30 minutes are yours: swim in the cool pool or stretch out at the water's edge. The ride back takes another 90 minutes, and it ends with a meal cooked by locals from organically grown ingredients, lunch on the morning departure or an early dinner on the afternoon one.
Two departures run daily, 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Children riding their own horse must be over seven years old, and the maximum rider weight is 245 pounds (110 kg).
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a camera, a hat, long pants, hiking shoes, insect repellent, and a bathing suit. Departures 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Maximum rider weight 245 pounds.
Before you book, one honest note. Prices, departure times, and what is included move with the season here. Rivers rise and drop, tides reset the schedule, boats come out of the water for maintenance, and operators adjust rates without telling anyone first. The details on this page are what we last confirmed directly with the operator, and we go back and check them, but your booking is with the operator and their confirmation is the final word on price, timing, pickup, and what you get. If a detail matters to your trip, whether that is a dietary need, a mobility question, a birthday, or a tight flight, ask us before you book and we will confirm it with them directly rather than guess.
Traveling with kids, limited mobility, or a tight schedule? Tell us your situation and we will match you to the right day and departure.
