Unlike every other tour on this site, surf lessons here have no fixed departure time: your instructor picks the window when the tide gives Manuel Antonio's beaches their gentlest, most forgiving waves, and pickup is arranged around it. That flexibility is a feature. Beginners get soft rollers to practice pop-ups, and stronger surfers get pointed at the better breaks on a coast that hosts international surf tournaments.
Everything you need comes with the lesson: the surfboard, the equipment, and experienced bilingual instructors who stay in the water with you for the full three hours. First-timers, intermediates, and expert surfers are all welcome, and kids do well here, with instructors steadying the board through the first rides.
Lessons are confirmed on request once we check conditions and instructor availability for your dates. Private and group lessons are both available, so tell us who is coming and we will set it up.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a camera, a hat, shorts, a bathing suit, a towel, and a change of clothes. Start time depends on the tides.
Before you book, one honest note. Prices, departure times, and what is included move with the season here. Rivers rise and drop, tides reset the schedule, boats come out of the water for maintenance, and operators adjust rates without telling anyone first. The details on this page are what we last confirmed directly with the operator, and we go back and check them, but your booking is with the operator and their confirmation is the final word on price, timing, pickup, and what you get. If a detail matters to your trip, whether that is a dietary need, a mobility question, a birthday, or a tight flight, ask us before you book and we will confirm it with them directly rather than guess.
Traveling with kids, limited mobility, or a tight schedule? Tell us your situation and we will match you to the right day and departure.
