The canopy course near Manuel Antonio strings 11 ziplines between 22 platforms, so once you clip in, you stay up in the trees for most of the tour. It starts on the ground: your adventure guide walks the group through a safety briefing with a full demonstration, then fits everyone with helmets, harnesses, and the rest of the gear before the first cable.
Between cables you move platform to platform along forest trails and suspension bridges, and this is where the second guide earns their keep. The course runs through both primary and secondary rainforest, and your nature guide points out the wildlife that lives in it while you catch your breath.
If the standard cables are not enough, there is an optional Tarzan swing partway through the course. Children can ride from age six, the maximum rider weight is 275 pounds (125 kg), and departures leave at 7:30 am, 11:30 am, and 1:30 pm with a meal included, breakfast or lunch depending on your departure.
Bring sunscreen, a camera, and hiking shoes. Departures 7:30 am, 11:30 am, and 1:30 pm. Maximum weight 275 pounds (125 kg). Children must be at least six years old.
Before you book, one honest note. Prices, departure times, and what is included move with the season here. Rivers rise and drop, tides reset the schedule, boats come out of the water for maintenance, and operators adjust rates without telling anyone first. The details on this page are what we last confirmed directly with the operator, and we go back and check them, but your booking is with the operator and their confirmation is the final word on price, timing, pickup, and what you get. If a detail matters to your trip, whether that is a dietary need, a mobility question, a birthday, or a tight flight, ask us before you book and we will confirm it with them directly rather than guess.
Traveling with kids, limited mobility, or a tight schedule? Tell us your situation and we will match you to the right day and departure.
