As advertised, really nice layout of the house with the pool in the middle. Gated location with access to the river. Everything needed was at the house. Minutes from a great restaurant and markets, about 15 minutes to get into La Fortuna and activities. Host was responsive and really easy to work with. Have a covered pickle ball / basketball court. Great location for two couples with room to spare. The recommend concierge service came in clutch. Was reluctant to use but after a quick phone call they helped with activities (tubing, ATV, zip-line, waterfall, hot springs) for the next three days. They handled booking and payment, we showed up to location and it was all taken care of. Would recommend and return to the same location.
Gorgeous home! My parents and I loved the place. The pool and the hot tub were fantastic. We visited the river and enjoyed the scenery. Cannot recommend this home enough! It is a little further out from the main attractions in la fortuna but we knew ahead of time and did not mind at all. The closest attractions are the waterfall and zip lining about 20 minutes away. The rest of the attractions are about 30-45 minutes. Danny was friendly and communicative
This villa was absolutely wonderful. The space inside was lovely but all of the outside space was our favourite. The kids loved the swimming pool and hot tub. We loved the huge veranda watching all of the wildlife. We saw so many birds, insects, reptiles, a howler monkey visited us one morning and Danny let us know when there was a two toed sloth in a tree close by. The villa was about a 20-40 minute drive to the different activities in and around La Fortuna but this wasn’t a problem for us. We liked escaping to the quiet in an evening. There were a number of nice restaurants and shops nearby which made sorting food easy. I would highly recommend Danny’s villa. It was a wonderful part of our trip.
What a cool property! We stayed here for three nights. The house layout and pool were perfect for our family with younger kids. The check-in instructions were clear and helpful. We loved eating and birdwatching from the balcony. The pool at the property and down the private drive were huge hits with our kids, and the hot tub was great while it rained. We would definitely stay here again if we are visiting the area and highly recommend to anyone else that wants a more quiet place to stay outside of La Fortuna.
Although the home is near the main road in Chachagua, it is an absolute oasis once you arrive. The gardens around the home are beautiful and incredibly maintained (they have a full-time gardener that keeps the place looking pristine). Once inside the home, you will experience another beautiful adventure. Although it was just my wife and me, this place can easily sleep eight or more! There's a beautiful deck off one side of the main area and a pool off the other side. Walk up the path past the pool and you'll find a hot tub in a beautiful setting. Past the hot tub, you will find the washer and dryer. I highly recommend this home for your stay when visiting the La Fortuna area. It's about a 20 minute drive to La Fortuna, but the drive is easy and very scenic.
