Eight bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, for up to 22 guests, on the hillside above Tamarindo. The house was built in 2020 on three floors and covers about 12,600 square feet, and most of the suites look out to the Pacific. The manager puts the beach and the center of town about three minutes away, and two six-seat electric golf carts come with the house on the manager's conditions, so that is how most guests make the trip. One recent guest noted that the roads up the hill are rough, and that the carts handle them fine.
What sets it apart is that a very big house runs like a small hotel. Breakfast is cooked every morning Monday to Saturday, with the food included. A house mom and housekeepers are there the same six days and make coffee drinks, snacks, smoothies, and cocktails when you buy the ingredients. A crew keeps the pool and garden, a night guard and an alarm cover the evenings, and the manager's concierge books tours, chefs, and tables in town. All 41 reviews on the manager's booking site give it five stars, and most of them mention the staff by name.
The pool is what the kids remember. It runs up to 2.5 meters deep, with a water slide that curves down through the garden, a raised sun shelf with a waterfall, a heated hot tub, and an edge that spills over toward the ocean view. Around it are a fire pit, a gas grill, a long covered terrace, and Sonos speakers. On the lower floor, a lounge for hot afternoons has ping pong, foosball, a big smart TV, an aquarium, a gym, and a kitchenette with an ice maker, plus a window that looks straight into the deep end of the pool. Beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and two paddleboards stay in the house for trips to the sand.
We list this house as GU-90. Tell us your dates and group size and we confirm availability and the exact total with the manager, then plan the rest with you: transfers from Liberia, a chef for the nights you stay in, and tours.
Six bedrooms have a king bed and one has a queen. The kids usually take the bunk room, which the manager's bedding list fills with two queens, three twins, and a trundle. The main suite has a terrace over the pool, a freestanding soaking tub, a walk-in closet with its own air conditioning, and blackout curtains. Every bedroom has air conditioning, a smart TV, and its own bathroom, and there is a powder room for guests.
The three floors are joined by stairs, including an open staircase and a glass bridge across the stairwell, and the manager does not list an elevator. Which bedrooms sit on which floor is not stated, so if anyone in your group has trouble with stairs, ask us and we will check with the manager before you book. There are also steps from the pool deck down into the garden.
From $3,500 a night. Rates move with the dates and the season, up to $11,500 a night at the busiest times, and Costa Rica's 13 percent tax is added on top. The minimum stay is four nights. Tell us your dates and group size and we come back with an exact total.
Part of our group stayed here for a company trip. The villa is absolutely incredible. Lots of room, great for catered meals or eating in. Staff and concierge were fantastic. Highly recommend. Roads aren't great but easy to get to the beach and main downtown area with the golf cart.
Our mother treated her 2 adult children, their spouses, and 4 grandchildren to a week at this Villa. There is not a single thing we would change about it! It was absolutely perfect in every way. Yvette prepared the most amazing breakfasts for us and Teresa and David kept both the inside and outside of the villa pristine! I wish all renters took such great care of their customers because we are now spoiled for life! I promise - you won’t be disappointed if you stay here. It truly was a magical, worry-free week. Muchas gracias to Romi and [the manager's] team for creating a Pura Vida week for the 9 of us!
Our vacation was amazing. We were two families, a total of 12 people, with 6 kids. The kids loved the pool and slide, and went swimming every day. We enjoyed being able to cook dinner at home, which was honestly more enjoyable than eating out due to the heat and humidity. Waking up the breakfast was amazing, and having a staff help with keeping the house clean and tidy was a wonderful. The use of the golf carts made getting to the beach and town super easy. Would definitely recommend [the house].
[the house] is unmatched. Our family has spent the last decade traveling the world and have never had an experience like we had had [the house] in Tamarindo. The minute we arrived we were greeted by our shuttle drivers in style with new top line, and spotless shuttle vans. When the gates to the property of [the house] opened, Paradise really began. We were greeted by the most kind and professional staff we have ever experienced. My wife, children, and I actually shared lots of hugs and tears with the entire staff the day we left,They are absolutely amazing, and became family after eight days ☺️. [the house] is an impeccable condition, and the most beautiful home we have ever stepped foot in. The pool was the main attraction overlooking the ocean. The adults in our group had equally as much fun as the children jumping from the waterfall into the pool, listening to Sonos with a Costa Rican cocktail while the kiddos made laps down the slide. There’s not a bad room in the house. Every room is absolutely beautiful with beds more comfortable than back at home. The two 6-seater lifted golf carts are so great. We took these into town and the beach multiple times a day, no more than a three minute ride. Words & pictures we saw online do not hardly do justice. We will be back!!
We had such an amazing time at [the house] in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We took the trip with 19 family members (9 adults and 10 kids) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. The breakfasts each morning were perfect, fresh and plentiful. The Villa is gorgeous and has everything you would need/want for a fun vacation! You are a 5 minute golf cart ride to the beach which was perfect for surfing for all levels and just gorgeous. The guys from the house would set up a canopy and beach chairs for us whenever we wanted. The villa is right off the main strip of Tamarindo so it is a quiet location but close to all the shops and restaurants if you wanted to explore. We felt very safe the entire time and the management company is a text away to answer any questions or give recommendations. We hired a chef to cook dinner every night at the villa so we could all meet up and talk about our day. The deep sea fishing off Tamarindo is superb as well. We hope to visit this amazing property sometime in the near future!
[the house] was an absolute dream come true. The house is immaculate and so well laid out. We had a group of 17, with children ranging from 7-18 years. We had more than enough room for everyone to have space. All couples (4 of us) were able to have a master suite, with king bed and ensuite bathroom. The young kids took the bunk room, and absoultey loved it. Beds and bedding were luxurious! In all honesty, the pictures don't do this home justice. It truly took our breath away when we walked in. The house is much bigger than it appears, and is more sprawling than you would think. Ana and Natalia were amazing, and there to answer any questions, and set up all of our excursions, golf carts, dinner reservations, etc...Anytime I would reach out to them, we would get a response right away. Natalia came to the house every morning to check on us, and was there while breakfast was cooked. The housekeepers were great, and really stayed out of our way, but did an excellent job of cleaning while we were outside, and keeping it tidy. They always had fresh pool and beach towels waiting for us. Kitchen was very well equipped. We hired a chef two nights, cooked at home two nights, and went out a couple of nights. House feels extremely safe with house alarm, and a security guard outside from 5 pm - 5 am. I would recommend renting golf carts for ease of getting to town and beach. We had massages set up at the house, that was a treat! As I mentioned, we rented a chef 2x while we were there (Gaston Garcon) which was fabulous to stay in and enjoy dinner there. The sunsets were the best I have ever seen, and can be viewed right on the patio. Kids loved the waterslide and spent hours on it. The pool and hot tub were perfect for swimming or lounging. With the house being so beautiful, we did not do many excursions as we just wanted to enjoy staying at [the house]. WE definitely want to come back!
The center of it: restaurants, surf schools, nightlife, the beach at the end of every street.
Drive times are estimates for this part of town. We show the neighborhood, not the address. The exact location comes with your booking.
Tell us your dates and group size, we will confirm availability and the exact total with the manager and help you plan the rest of your Guanacaste trip.
