Two bedroom suites for up to four guests, in the same small gated community above Quepos as MA-80, with a guard at the gate around the clock. The house is Bali in style, with bamboo, teak, and a woven bamboo ceiling, and the living room, kitchen, and both bedrooms open through tall glass doors onto a long balcony in the trees. Guests put the restaurants on the main road to Manuel Antonio eight to ten minutes away by car and the national park about fifteen.
Both bedrooms have a king bed, their own bathroom, and a private outdoor shower. The kitchen has granite counters, a breakfast island with stools, and a gas range, and there is a smart TV, fiber wifi, a washer and dryer, and covered parking. Air conditioning is in the bedrooms; one guest noted the living room has fans only.
Below the house, the private pool sits under a timber roof beside a large boulder, with a hammock and sun loungers around it. Guests write about monkeys, toucans, macaws, frogs, and geckos from the balcony, a trail in the community to a waterfall, and a spa inside the community. One guest found the pool shaded and the water cool. Of the 54 guest reviews on the manager's page, 53 give it five stars and one gives it four.
We list this house as MA-84. Tell us your dates and group size and we confirm availability and the exact total with the manager, then sort out the rest: transfers, a private chef, and a guide for the national park.
The driveway is very steep, and many guests mention it: one says you need some torque, others that it is steep but manageable. Guests who arrived on foot say the walk up from the road is a real climb, and one older guest warned that it is hard going without a car. The gate guard has walked first-time arrivals to the house at night. The living room, kitchen, and bedrooms share one level along the balcony; the pool is below the house. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, ask us and we will confirm the details with the manager before you book.
Rates for this house are quoted on request. They move with the dates and the season, Costa Rica's 13 percent tax and a service fee are added on top, and the minimum stay is three nights most of the year, five over Christmas and New Year. The base rate covers two guests, with a charge for the third and fourth. Tell us your dates and group size and we come back with an exact total.
We loved our stay at [the house] and its jungle setting. The sound of the rain on the roof top was perfect for this setting. The pool was very refreshing in Costa Rica’ s humidity. If you’re elderly be aware it is quite a climb to get to the Casa if you’re on foot. The staff were always helpful and friendly and available. We also had a wonderful massage at Raindrop spa.
This house was perfect for our family of 4. Wildlife viewing from the porch each morning was amazing. The neighborhood is 100 % safe with a gate attendant 24/7. The waterfall hike in the back of the neighborhood was an added plus. Close enough to walk go town and easy to get a taxi when we didn’t want to walk.
We had an absolute blast staying at this beautiful villa! The views were amazing, just like being in the middle of the jungle. We were visited by wildlife every day! Monkeys, frogs, geckos, toucans and macaws. We loved that. The host Julio was super responsive and even helped me plan and decorate the house for my sisters 30th birthday while we were staying there. He and the staff did a wonderful job with that. He had local suggestions and advice on activities and food, and the location was close to everything we wanted to do. We drove most of the time since we had rented a car, and you definitely need some torque to get up the driveway to the home. 10/10 recommend staying here. We felt right at home. We hope to be back one day!
The neighborhood is difficult to find at night. A light by the entrance off 618 would help. Look for the Raindrops Spa signs. The spa is located inside the neighborhood. We loved that is a gated community. Once we got to the security gate, the attendant actually walked us to our house while we followed in the car. Once you know where it’s at, you’re fine. The drive way is super steep, but doable. The property is in the jungle, yet just 8-10 minutes from all the good restaurants on the main road to Manuel Antonio. The park is maybe 15 minutes away. Even though we were in the jungle, we were never bothered by insects on the balcony or in the house. That amazed us. The home was immaculate and the staff is very responsive. It is a community of maybe 12-15 homes and it seems extremely well managed. The beds and pillows were super comfy. We didn’t use the pool bc it was in the shade and the water very cold. Overall, we had a great stay.
Absolutely incredible from check-in to check-out! So many thoughtful touches including fresh fruit upon arrival. The wildlife was everywhere to enjoy. We loved the security and the close location to everything. The pool and outdoor space was perfection! The worst part was not being able to stay longer :-)
The gated community and the hills around it above Quepos, rainforest on every side. Five minutes down to the marina, about fifteen to the park.
