Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a half bath, for up to four guests, on a hilltop in the same small gated community above Quepos as MA-80. The house is all on one level, with a high white ceiling, wood floors, and big windows into the forest. Quepos, Marina Pez Vela, and the beaches and park of Manuel Antonio are a short drive away.
The main bedroom has a king bed and its own bathroom with a tub; the second has a queen and its own bathroom too, and both have TVs. The open living room has a sectional sofa and a dining table for four beside a kitchen with wood cabinets, granite counters, and stainless appliances. A covered veranda with a hammock and a table for meals runs along the house, and there is air conditioning, fiber wifi, and a laundry room.
Outside is a wide terrace at the edge of the trees with a private plunge pool, sun loungers, an umbrella table, and a covered outdoor kitchen with a gas grill, a sink, and a small refrigerator. Guests write about squirrel and white-faced monkeys, toucans, macaws, and the occasional sloth from the terrace, the community's trail to a seasonal waterfall, and its spa. Of the 62 guest reviews on the manager's page, 60 give it five stars and two give it four.
We list this house as MA-85. Tell us your dates and group size and we confirm availability and the exact total with the manager, then sort out the rest: transfers, a private chef, and a guide for the national park.
Inside, everything is on one level, which guests mention as a plus. Getting there is the hard part: the road and driveway up to the house are very steep, parking means backing into a spot on the slope, and one guest bottomed out an SUV. Several guests recommend a four-wheel drive, and those without a car say to expect a steep walk in and out of the community. One guest also heard traffic and music from the main road at night. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, ask us and we will confirm the details with the manager before you book.
Rates for this house are quoted on request. They move with the dates and the season, Costa Rica's 13 percent tax and a service fee are added on top, and the minimum stay is three nights most of the year, five over Christmas and New Year. The base rate covers two guests, with a charge for the third and fourth. Tell us your dates and group size and we come back with an exact total.
Julio’s place was absolutely amazing every thing was perfect, really comfortable house, spacious but everything on the same level which was great, location in the middle of the jungle to allow us to observe wildlife in the best way you could ever imagine, you actually see more animals and wildlife sitting on the balcony or by the pool than visiting any of the national parks, we found the house equipped with everything you need so you feel like at home, we would definitely return when we next visit Quepos, thanks Julio for our great vacation!
For the Quepos/ Manuel Antonio area this place is great. The hosts are responsive, there is security, and it is VERY clean! It has a private pool and has everything you will need. We saw so much wildlife right from our porch and windows. There is a waterfall on site that we wish we could’ve visited (just be ready for a hike). It’s close enough into the town of Quepos and you can walk into town, and the drive to Manuel Antonio isn’t very far. The only tricky part is the uphill drive to park to at the home. Besides that everything else was great. Would stay again.
Very nice, clean, quiet, private, and well furnished place. We had everything we need for a comfortable stay with a toddler. A 4x4 vehicle would make parking easier because the area is hilly. The location allows to see lots of wildlife and be surrounded by bird sounds. You are close to nice beaches, MA park, and tons of food options.
Great location, convenient access to public transportation, ample restaurants and things to do all while providing a quiet, private neighborhood. The local wildlife was incredible, watching the monkeys play in the trees and hammock right outside our window made this an unforgettable stay.
This place was amazing for our family (2 adults and 2 toddlers). It is in a private gated community. The road up to the house is steep and fun to drive. Very private. Never heard the neighbors. We saw macaws and monkeys nightly. We saw toucans on our last day here. The one level home and large outdoor living space makes this place one of a kind and a total must stay!
The gated community and the hills around it above Quepos, rainforest on every side. Five minutes down to the marina, about fifteen to the park.
Drive times are estimates for this part of town. We show the neighborhood, not the address. The exact location comes with your booking.
