Live-edge terrace bar above the plunge pool in the forest above Quepos (MA-96)
Gated community above Quepos

Two-bedroom jungle view villa with private pool

Two-bedroom jungle view villa with private pool

Two bedrooms and two bathrooms for up to four guests, at the top of a hill in the same gated community above Quepos as MA-80 and MA-85. Floor-to-ceiling windows on every side look into the forest, and guests write about monkeys passing the living room glass at breakfast. Downtown Quepos and Marina Pez Vela are 5 to 10 minutes away by car, and a bus to Manuel Antonio stops near the community gate.

The kitchen is the center of the house: a granite island with stools, wood cabinets, and stainless appliances, open to a sitting area with a long sectional sofa and a TV. A desk for two by the windows has fiber internet for anyone who has to work. The main suite has a king bed, glass doors to a small terrace, and a bathroom with a rain shower and a large jetted tub. The second bedroom has a queen and uses the second full bathroom next door, and a day bed can be made up on request. There is a washer and dryer.

Outside, a covered terrace with a long live-edge bar and a row of tall chairs looks over the plunge pool, which is lit at night, with a sun deck, a large outdoor daybed, and two grills. Guests mention the stream you can hear from the bedrooms, the community's waterfall and swimming hole, and a responsive concierge. All 38 reviews on the manager's page give it five stars.

Access and stairs

The house sits at the top of a very steep hill, and a flight of outdoor steps with a handrail leads up from the parking area. One guest tried walking up from town in the heat and wished they had taken the taxi the concierge offered, so plan on a car or taxis for coming and going. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, ask us and we will confirm the details with the manager before you book.

Lovely and very comfortable home. Nice for our family of four. The kids enjoyed the giant bathtub and being able to see monkeys frolicking from the living room windows. The property is right next to a bus stop which we took to easily access Manuel Antonio National Park. We’d happily return!

Wonderful stay! It’s set in a private community so the space is peaceful, but just a short walk to town or the bus stop to go towards the national park. There’s a stream nearby so you get to be lulled to sleep by the sound of water. A great surprise is there’s a waterfall you can hike to on the grounds that was a perfect swimming hole, just idyllic.

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful location in the rainforest. Lots of animals came to visit which was very fun - monkeys, iguanas and birds. The house itself is stunning with everything we could need. The pool is lovely, refreshing and well maintained. One thing to note is that the house is at the top of a very steep hill. We'd recommend people consider hiring a car to get up or down and not make our mistake of trying to walk up it in the heat (Julio and his team were very kind in offering to arrange for taxis for us, which we foolishly declined).

This place is amazing! The concierge staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay seamless from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better: tucked away in a lush rainforest setting within a gated community just outside downtown Quepos. It’s close to fantastic restaurants, the marina, and the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. Every tour we booked with outside agencies picked us up right at the gate, which was so convenient.

The most beautiful [home] I’ve ever stayed in! This place is worth every penny, amazing location, where we spotted monkeys from the house in the mornings whilst eating breakfast. The [home] was completely stocked, the kitchen had everything you’d need and more and the pool was clean & in perfect condition. Host was lovely, gave recommendations and checked in on us often, helping out when there were any issues.
