Long stone-edged pool with loungers along the deck in the forest above Quepos (MA-95)
Gated community above Quepos

Three-bedroom jungle view villa with private pool

Three-bedroom jungle view villa with private pool

Three bedrooms in three separate buildings on one wooded lot, for up to eight guests, in the same small gated community above Quepos as MA-80 and MA-85. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and air conditioning, so a group of three couples or a family with teenagers can spread out and still meet at the pool. Downtown Quepos is a walk down the hill, and the beaches and national park at Manuel Antonio are a short drive.

The main house has a high wood ceiling, red hardwood floors, and wood-latticed windows on three sides. The living room, a dining table for eight, and a kitchen with blue cabinets and a gas range share one open room. The main suite has a king bed, doors straight out to the pool, and a bathroom with a jetted tub and a walk-in shower. Through a separate entrance below is a second suite with two queen beds, its own bathroom, and a covered sitting area under stone arches. The casita, reached by outdoor stone steps, is a newer room with a queen bed, a kitchenette, a walk-in shower, and a balcony into the bamboo.

The pool is long and narrow with a stone edge, loungers along the deck, and a stone hot tub at one end beside the main suite. Guests write about monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, and agoutis from the deck, the community's trail to a waterfall, and how easy check-in is at the guarded gate. All 52 distinct reviews on the manager's page give it five stars.

Access and stairs

This is a house on a slope, in three buildings. The second suite is reached by its own entrance one level below the main house, and the casita is reached by outdoor stone steps, so plan the bedrooms around anyone who finds stairs hard. The road up through the community is steep: one guest notes that some taxis and tour drivers stop at the gate, which leaves a steep, tiring walk up. Others walk down into Quepos for dinner and say the climb back is a workout. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, ask us and we will confirm the details with the manager before you book.

What guests say

Julio and Viviana were gracious hosts who made sure we had what we needed. The neighborhood is gated so there isn’t a lot of traffic and the surroundings are beautiful with jungle sounds to lull you to sleep. The beds were very comfortable too!

The property exceeded our expectations! Pictures do not do it justice! The wildlife that we encountered was amazing! Monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, and iguanas!! The pool was a refreshing spot to hang out! We were traveling with friends and the property had plenty of space for people to have their own area. The area is in the hills and the road up to the house is steep. Not all transportation or taxis will drive to the door. You needed to walk down To the gate and meet some drivers. Although we never minded the steep and strenuous walk, some people may find it physically challenging.

Wonderful location. Beautiful home(s) just as described and perfect for our group! Great communication before, during, and after our stay. Loved the recommendation for having Vicky come and be our private chef for the night! Will definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

I would not hesitate to stay here again, the location was fantastic and easily walkable into downtown Quepos. This home was perfect for our family with two teenagers, as everyone could have their own spaces. We loved the hike to the waterfall, saw so many monkeys from that area! Overall, very secure and comfortable place to stay and great communication from the host!

Loved staying here, walkable to the town and bus stop close to get to the beaches. Uber is also very reasonable and 10mins away from stunning manuel antonio. The house is very well equipped and very cosy ! Beds super comfortable and all backed up by a great concierge that helped us so many times with restaurants and trips. Lots of wildlife to be seen from the balcony/patio, we saw iguanas, monkeys and a small agouti.
