MAE-02 sits near the top of a hill in a gated part of Manuel Antonio, about 5,200 square feet over four levels, looking across the jungle to the ocean, Cathedral Point, and the national park. The managers rent it as a four-bedroom or a five-bedroom house, and it is always reserved for one group. Restaurants, beaches, and the park entrance are a few minutes away.
The living spaces are open-air under high bamboo ceilings, built to catch the breeze, so the lounges run on ceiling fans and cross-ventilation while the bedrooms have air conditioning. The kitchen has a long island with bar stools, and the dining table looks straight out to the coast. The pool runs along the main living area, with a sun deck and loungers above the trees, and the covered terrace beside it works as a second living room. One level up is an open-air game room with a pool table, a lounge with a big TV, and a wet bar, open to the same view.
The bedrooms are spread across the levels, so each one feels private. Beds, as the managers list them: two bedrooms have a king, two have a queen, and one has two doubles. The primary suite has a balcony facing the view, a jetted tub, and a stone shower. The fifth bedroom is a separate cottage by the pool with a queen bed and its own bathroom, which is the room that stays closed when you book four bedrooms. One bedroom also has a TV sitting area and two pull-out beds, and the managers say it can sleep up to six.
One thing to know before you book: the house is built into a steep hillside, with many stairs between the levels and from the parking area up to the entrance. The managers say it may not suit guests with limited mobility. If you are traveling with toddlers, ask us about the stairs first.
From $400 a night. The managers price by the week and by season, as a four-bedroom or a five-bedroom house. Christmas and New Year weeks are priced for all five bedrooms. Local taxes are added on top. Tell us your dates and group size and we will send you the current total before you book.
We had an amazing family vacation here! The house is gorgeous and tucked right into the jungle with a lovely view of the ocean and Manuel Antonio park.
One of our favorite parts was having monkeys come right up to the house. Sitting by the pool and watching them visit was such a cool experience, especially for the kids, and one of those memories we will never forget.
We recently stayed at this fantastic property (4-br option), and overall it was a great experience.
Our stay at [the house] was nothing short of incredible. Chef Sarah was incredible and immediately became part of the family during our stay.
We were a total of seven family members to include our grandchildren. A spectacular view of nature and Pacific Ocean. Greeted daily up close by macaws, monkeys & few other wildlife. The villa's five bedrooms were ideal that everyone had their privacy while making the two outdoor living rooms a nice family gathering place. We had Javier & Aerial as our chef who provided better than restaurant quality dining for breakfast and dinner. The pool was an additional benefit enjoyed by all. We made all our planned events (zip lining, snorkeling, catamaran, park tour) thru Carlos, our concierge who made things easy and timely. We plan to return and request the same villa.
On the road between Quepos and the park, up on the ridge where the ocean views are. Restaurants along the road, beaches a short drive down.
Drive times are estimates for this part of town. We show the neighborhood, not the address. The exact location comes with your booking.
