Infinity pool beside the open-air great room, looking over the canopy to the Pacific (MAE-09)
Manuel Antonio, above the canopy

Six-bedroom ocean view villa with infinity pool and theater room

Built up among the treetops, with the pool on the edge

MAE-09 sits high on the Manuel Antonio hillside, about 6,300 square feet built up into the canopy with the Pacific and the national park coast in front of it. The main level is an open-air great room held up by massive tree-trunk beams under a tall timber roof, with several seating areas, a long wooden dining table, and the kitchen, all looking out at the ocean. A canoe hangs from the ceiling.

A few steps from the great room, the infinity pool runs right to the edge of the terrace, so the water seems to stop at the treetops. There is a sun deck with loungers too. Scarlet macaws fly past the terraces, monkeys come through the branches, and toucans sit in the trees nearby, which guests write about as much as the view.

For downtime there is a theater room with a big screen and tiered seating, a game room with a pool table and a wet bar, and a wellness room set up for massages and other treatments in the house. The bathrooms are built in stone, several with stone tubs, and some with showers open to the air.

All six bedrooms have their own bathrooms and air conditioning, and most have ocean views or a porch onto the jungle. Five have a king bed and one has a queen. The house sleeps 12 as listed, and the managers take up to 16 for an extra weekly fee per guest. Bedrooms you do not book stay closed, so the house is never shared with another group.
